This week in Kansas progressive politics: take a stroll with Wichita’s mayor, talk government transparency with state Rep. Stephanie Clayton, phone bank to flip United States Rep. Kevin Yoder’s seat blue, and more.

Transparency in KS Statehouse Town Hall
This event is hosted by political advocacy group MainstreamCoalition and progressive organization Indivisible Kansas City. Participate in this town hall discussing transparency and politics. Speakers include state Rep. Stephanie Clayton for District 19 and Ron Keefover, the president of Kansas Sunshine Coalition for Open Government.

Washington Days 2018
This is the annual two-day Kansas Democratic Party convention and the largest gathering for Democrats in the state.

Fun Friday With James Thompson
Get together with other progressives at James Thompson’s campaign office. Help stuff envelopes, send out thank you cards, enjoy snacks and the company there. Since this is the first Friday, immediately following is a meet and greet with James Thompson.
